The games will commence until the closing ceremony on Aug. 24.<br /><br />The 2008 Summer Olympics will feature 302 events in 28 sports with 205 nations participating in the international event. The games will be broadcasted on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, CBUT, USA and Telemundo.<br /><br />Track runner Lopez Lomong, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, will be the torch bearer for the U.S. Lomong was named the torch bearer just 13 months after becoming a U.S. citizen.
